COSGROVE CROSSOVER In Memory of a Departed Marine now Guarding Heaven's Scene |
Lance Corporal Christopher B. Cosgrove is a hero among Golf Company
2/25th Marines 4th Marine Division. He graduated from Monmouth
University in 2005. In 2006, he joined the Marine Corps and deployed to
Iraq with Charlie Company 1/25th Marines. Sadly, he was killed on October
6, 2006, while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Al
Anbar Province, Iraq.
In his honor I, LCpl Thorne, and other Marines plan to hike from the
3/14th Marine Artillery Battery in Trenton, NJ to the 6th Motor Transport in
Red Bank, NJ. This route is approximately around 50 miles and plan to do
to do this 2 day course. It will be a long, grueling hike with a combat load
of around 40-80 lbs of gear consisting of everything needed to be self
sufficient.
I’m trying to raise and collect money for the veterans wounded in Iraq and
Afghanistan. If you know anyone who would donate or any foundations
that would contribute, please tell them of this event or email me at
